Die schwere Masse ist Maß für die Kopplungsstärke der gravitativen Wechselwirkung. Die Träge Masse ist Maß für die Fähigkeit eines Körpers, sich dem Einfluss einer Kraft zu widersetzen, also maß für die Kopplungsstärke der Bewegung mit der wirkenden Kraft.
